FAQ

Common questions

  • Can I call for someone else?

Yes, and a lot of people do. We can explain the levels of care, talk through the options, and help you think about how to raise it with them. What we cannot do is share information about someone already in treatment here without their authorization, or admit an adult who has not agreed to come.

  • Do I need my insurance card?

Not to call. It makes the process faster if you have it, but you can reach out first and sort that out afterward.

  • Will I be pressured to enroll?

No. If you call to ask questions and decide not to come in, that is a completely normal outcome. We may follow up to answer questions, but you are never obligated to enroll.

  • What should I do in an emergency?

We are an outpatient program and do not provide emergency or crisis services. If someone may be experiencing an overdose, is in immediate danger, or needs urgent medical attention, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For a mental health or suicide crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day. Once the situation is safe, call us and we will help with what comes next.

  • Can I visit without an appointment?

Yes. Calling first is better, only because it means someone is free to sit with you properly rather than catching us between sessions. But if you are already outside and ready to come in, come in.

Still not sure where to begin?

Call and tell us what is going on. You do not need to know which program you need before reaching out.
