WHAT TO EXPECT
What your first two weeks look like
Most people calling us have never done this before. Here is the actual sequence,
so nothing lands on you cold.
Day one
- Confidential phone assessment, usually same day
- We verify your insurance and tell you the real cost before you start
- Clinical assessment sets your level of care
- You get your start date and your schedule in writing
Week one
- You are assigned your own therapist — individual sessions start now
- Case manager meets you and starts on work, benefits, and housing if needed
- Medical review, and MAT if it is clinically appropriate
- Group therapy begins on your chosen track
Week two
- Treatment plan reviewed and adjusted with you, not at you
- Family session offered if you want your people involved
- Relapse-prevention work starts
- Schedule adjusted if it is clashing with work or childcare
THE DRIVE
Getting here from Lakewood
We are at 35 Beaverson Blvd, Building 6A, just off Route 70 in Brick — about fifteen minutes from Lakewood.
Route 88 runs east out of Lakewood straight into Brick and meets Route 70 at the old Laurelton Circle. From the Route 9 corridor and Cedarbridge, Route 70 east is usually the simpler run.
Parking is free and directly outside the building, so a three-day-a-week schedule stays a three-day-a-week schedule.
Scheduling and observance
We don't run programming on Saturdays or Sundays, so Shabbos is never a scheduling conflict.
If you need to miss a session for Yom Tov or any other religious reason, that's respected. You won't be asked to explain or justify it.
We don't provide meals.
Many snacks we put out are kosher.

PAYING FOR IT
Insurance & cost
We work with most major commercial plans. Federal parity law requires most plans to cover substance use treatment comparably to medical care, but what that means for your deductible varies plan to plan.
Call and we will run your benefits while you are on the phone, then tell you the actual number. No estimate that quietly changes later.
Before you call, have handy.
- Your insurance card, front and back
- Date of birth of the person seeking treatment
- Any substances involved, and roughly how long
- Any past treatment, if there has been any
Don't have your card? Call anyway. We can usually find the plan.

FAQ
Common questions from Lakewood residents
Will anyone in Lakewood know I'm in treatment?
Not from us. We're in Brick, not in Lakewood a fifteen-minute drive, but a different town entirely, off Route 70 in a commercial building with its own parking. Your care is protected by federal and state confidentiality law, including 42 CFR Part 2. We don't contact an employer, a school, a family member or anyone else without your written permission, and we don't confirm to anyone that you're a client.
Can treatment work around religious observance?
Yes. There's no programming on weekends, so Shabbos is never a scheduling conflict. If you need to miss a session for a religious reason, that's respected —you won't be asked to explain or justify it. We don't provide meals, and many snacks we put out are kosher.
Do you accept clients from Lakewood?
Yes. There's no residency requirement — we treat adults from across Ocean and Monmouth County.
How quickly can I start?
We can often schedule a confidential assessment within 24 hours, and treatment can usually begin shortly after when it is clinically appropriate.
What insurance do you take?
Most major commercial plans. Call us or use the insurance verification form and we will confirm your coverage and your actual out-of-pocket cost before you commit to anything. insurance verification form
Will my employer find out?
Not from us. Your care is protected by federal and state confidentiality law, including 42 CFR Part 2. We do not contact an employer without your written permission.
What if I need detox first?
We are an outpatient program and do not provide medical detox on site. If your assessment shows you need detox first, we will tell you plainly and help coordinate a placement, then pick you up on the other side.
Do you treat mental health conditions alongside addiction?
Yes. Dual diagnosis care is part of the standard program — depression, anxiety, trauma and other co-occurring conditions are treated alongside substance use rather than after it. dual-diagnosis-treatment
